The Slovak dočasné útočisko plastic card: what does the 90-day rule mean?
After dočasné útočisko is granted, you receive confirmation of your status. If the status was granted after 15 December 2024, you must apply for the plastic residence card within 90 days.

- · Administrative fee: €10 for standard issuance within 30 days or €39 for issuance within 2 business days

In the Interior Ministry booking system choose DOČASNÉ ÚTOČISKO → ŽIADOSŤ O VYDANIE DOKLADU O POBYTE (DOČASNÉ ÚTOČISKO)

Choose any Foreign Police department with an available appointment

Attend in person with the application, valid passport, and fee

If your status was granted after 15 December 2024, do not miss the 90-day deadline for the card application

The paper temporary-refuge confirmation remains usable for proving status and address registration under the Ministry rules
Important
The plastic card is more practical for proving status and travel. A separate booking in the Interior Ministry system is required.
