Men in Poland: PESEL UKR, military registration and moving to another EU country
Short answer
If your UKR status is active, the rule does not affect you. The risk appears if the status was lost (for example replaced by NUE) or if you move and apply anew in another country: then an e-VOD and proof of lawful departure may be required.

What to do step by step
- 1
Check your status in mObywatel or Diia.pl: UKR must be active.
- 2
If you see NUE instead of UKR, find out why before applying again: a new application means the new conditions.
- 3
Update your data in Reserv+ and keep the e-VOD — you will also need it at the consulate.
- 4
Before moving to another EU country, check whether your application would be accepted under the new condition.
- 5
Do not give up your status in Poland until you are sure of protection elsewhere.
Important
Protection in a new country is a new application, so the military-obligation condition can apply even to people who lived in Poland for years.
